KEITI'S CELS
Hi and welcome to my cel gallery. As you can see, the main focus of this gallery is on Escaflowne. This is the show that really drew me into the world of anime and, by extension, into cel collecting. Escaflowne is a great love story set in a fantastical world and framed by interesting characters, epic battles, and intriguing philosophical questions. Yoko Kanno's brillant score perfectly compliments the visual aspects of the show; transforming an already great anime into a masterpiece.
This gallery also features cels from other shows I like, that I have received as gifts, or that just catch my eye. Currently, all cels are NFS.
Some of the characters' names in Escaflowne could be spelled a couple different ways depending on which method is used to translate Japanese syllables. I decided to stick with the spellings Bandai used because I figure those spellings are the ones most people will recognize.
Escaflowne cels may have spoiler text in their descriptions, so you may wish to avoid reading the side comments if you do not wish to be spoiled.
Be sure to click on the thumbnails of the cels for a larger image. I tend to leave out the backgrounds on the thumbnails. It's kind of a reward for those curious enough to take a closer look ^_^ If I don't have a matching background (which is more often then not) I try to use or to create a background that captures the feel of the cel's original setting.
Backgrounds marked with RSSG have come from RubberSlug's Shared Gallery and are marked with the title of the background and the member who was kind enough to provide it.
